Against All Odds

My dear readers, its been a very long time since i last sat down and was inspired to write. But recently, something happened that moved me, enlightened me. Something sparked inspiration to my mind again, and i suddenly had the urge to sit down, open my blog and write every word that came to my mind. As i sat down infront of my laptop, with a hot cup of coffee sitting still next to me, as its soft steam and comforting aroma rose in the air, while the rain was pouring outside my window, and the moonlight was shining brightly and giving me a glowing glare against the glass of my window pane, as if to smile down on me and reassure me that it is safe to share my thoughts with the world, i felt like it was the perfect atmosphere for me to enter my zone and organize my thoughts and write.
When i drift away in my thoughts, i travel to places and retrieve many memories that i forgot i even had. Well, my story is quite a long one. But i wont go through my entire story, i will only give you a small sneak peek at a certain special part of my life. I will tell you a little bit of the chapter about my life in Canada. This will be one of the biggest memories that will be treasured in my heart forever. It is now the year 2009, and it is coming to an end. As we approach the end of the year, it feels as though i just arrived here yesterday. I have lived in Canada for the past few years, which i can safely conclude were very fruitful, eventful, and wonderful. I have indeed spent the best years of my life here. I came a young girl at the age of 19, and will leave as a young woman at the age of 24. I know that many people understand what i mean and can relate to what i am saying. I guess my thoughts are scattered all over the place and everytime i feel as though i caught the first thought that i will begin to write with, it turns out there is a previous thought entangled to it. During the few years i lived here, i've had to make certain decisions and face certain consequences. Many of the decisions i made were wrong, but that didnt matter much because i learned a fortune, at every step of the way. They say the greatest teacher in life is experience, and i am afraid they are right. I hope that i may get the chance one day to thank everyone and everything that contributed to making me who i am today. There were times when i felt beaten, outclassed, and overwhelmed. And those were the times that i was myself's best friend. I saw my path diverge into more than one road, and i had to choose which path i wanted to walk down. And i noticed that no matter what path i chose, i always stumbled and i always faced obsticles. But no matter how big the rock i stumbled against, i was always able to move it, jump over it, or go around it. As i type these words and watch them appear on my screen, i feel as though a weight has been lifted off my shoulder. People carry weights of different measures on their shoulders. The weights i carry are words, many many words. And when i type them out and express them in written, i feel as though i just emptied my glass and then the thoughts come pouring in again as if to fill it up for the next time inspiration decides to pay me a visit. I put together these words that i thought you might enjoy reading. I believe that words have magic, especially when they come from the heart. They can touch us, move us, delight us, enlighten us, make us laugh, make us cry, and both soften and enrich our deepest memories. Kind words are the tie that bind one stranger to another, often in friendship, sometimes in love, always in better understanding. My fingers are beginning to ache, and my eyes are beginning to slowly blink as though to signal to me that it is enough writing for tonight. My body is getting ready to rest and restore its energy again for tomorrow. Against all odds, i believe that tomorrow is going to be a wonderful day! I say good night to the world and wish everybody the sweetest dreams... :)
